Mee Rebus


Ingredients:

Spagetti pasta
1 Cucumber
Fried Onion
Ground Beef
1 tbsp Taucho (Soy Bean Paste)
1 medium Sweet Potato
2 tbsp Curry Powder
1 cup coconut milk
4 cups or more Water
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tbsp grinded/minced onion
1 tbsp chilli paste
Boiled eggs (Optional)
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt & white pepper to taste
Lime (Optional)

Methods:

  1. Peeled and boiled the sweet potato until it cooked and drained the water, and put the cooked sweet potato into a blender.
  2. Puree the sweet potato, coconut milk, taucho and ground beef, and add 1 tbsp of curry powder into the blender. If the mixture is too thick, add some water into the blender.
  3. Heat the oil in a pot. Then saute the minced onion, garlic, ginger, chilli paste, salt, and white pepper for a few seconds.
  4. Add half of pureed ingredients into the saute mixture for a few seconds. Then add half of the water into the mixture together with the balance pureed mixture. Let the mixture boil for a few minutes. Add a pinch of salt to taste, the balance of curry powder, and add the rest of the water into the pot. Afterwards, let the mixture boil at medium heat.
  5. Next, put the uncooked spagetti into a boiling water until it's cooked and once cooked, let it cooled in the pot for a few minutes before draining half of the hot water . Then pour in the cold water into the hot boiled pasta.
  6. After both spagetti and the mixture cooled down. Fork out the cooked spagetti into a bowl and scoop the sauce mixture into the same bowl as per individual liking. Sprinkle some fried onions, cut cucumber, and put the boiled egg into the bowl. Squeeze a cut lime into the bowl of prepared mixture to taste.
  7. Ready to serve.
