Potato Donuts

This is a recipe taken from Cutwin's with modification to ingredients and methods of making them being done. Enjoy it!!


Ingredients:

2 cups Potato flakes
1/2 cup warm water
1 pack dry yeast
2 eggs
8 or 9 cups of all purpose flour
4 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
2 or 3 tbsp crisco butter flavor shortening
1/2 tsp salt (optional)


Methods:
  1. Make the mash potatoes according to the box.
  2. Pour flour, mash potatoes, dry yeast, warm water, and shortening into the food processor. Pulse.
  3. Then add eggs and condensed milk into the mixture and pulse the food processor.
  4. Make sure that the mixture is not soggy and sticky.
  5. After pulsing for a few minutes. Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Knead the dough onto the pastry board for 10 minutes. Floured the board before putting the dough.
  7. Let it rised for 45 minutes.
  8. Punch the dough down and knead for 5 minutes.
  9. Finally, shape the dough into donuts or donut holes. Heat the oil in a wok.
  10. Fry the donuts when the oil is hot. Then put the donuts in a small paper bag containing icing powder, and shake the paper bag.
  11. Serve it hot.
