Coconut Agar-Agar
I made this agar-agar yesterday night since I couldn't sleep... It's made of seaweed and it's great for this hot summer days..
You can get the agar-agar in powdered or in it's natural form. The one I made here is in powdered form and it's yellow in color.. The intructions and measurements are in Metric unit and not English. For the US folks, below are the conversion of the measurements as found at the back of the package.
1 liter = 4 cups of water
250 grams = 1 cup of sugar
Here I use coconut milk about 1 cup. First you have to cook the agar-agar until it's boil. Then you separate them: 1 cup to mix with coconut milk and the other is just plain cook agar-agar. I also use mexicorn or corn in the small can about 1 cup or so to your liking. Then pour it into your desired mold.
Let it cool before you refrigerate. Once cool for 2 hours, then you refrigerate. The reason being: never put hot food in the refrigerator because it would deplete your fridge coolness and would make your fridge not last as long as it suppose to especially the freeon.
