Beef Chutney: My style

Ground Beef chutney

Well to those who are tired of making hamburger or meatloaf or meat balls from the ground beef. Here is another recipe that you can use to make something out of those ground beef!!

Ingredients:

Handful of ground beef or more if you so like it
1 small red potato (quarterly cut) (Optional)
3 Curry leaves
3 shallots (half cut)
3 fresh garlic (chopped)
2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup water
3 stalks parsley or cilantro (throw the stalk, chopped the leaves)
1 jalapeno pepper (sliced)
4 dried chillies (soak & half cut; throw the seeds away)
salt & pepper or Mrs. Dash/No Salt to taste
1 or 2 tbsp Rasam powder

Methods:
  1. Saute the cut shallots, garlic, & jalapeno pepper for a few seconds.
  2. Add a dash or two salt & pepper and rasam powder.
  3. Then add the dried chillies
  4. Put the ground beef into the sauteed mixture
  5. Add the curry leaves into the mixture. Stir gently. Cook at low heat.
  6. Add the water gradually. Don't pour too much water because the beef will eventually produce more water.
  7. Add the quarterly cut potato (optional)
  8. Then add the cilantro and stir gently.
  9. Add another tbsp of rasam powder and Mrs. Dash.
  10. Cooked for half an hour or until the water 1/2 evaporated at very low heat. Stir gently.

Let it cool for 5 minutes before eating.

Can be eaten with cooked rice, instant noodles, or bread or wraps.
