I made this simple salad dinner to break my Ramadhan fast.. Well, I did drink some juice and chocolate milk.. and ate remaining fried rice.. But I do need my veges..
Anyway, I made the hummus.. It was so so simple, am not sure if I ever put the recipe up here but here is the recipe.. roasted bell pepper hummus..
Ingredients:
1 Bell Pepper Red
Garbanzo beans (1 cup)
salt and pepper
1 tbsp peprika
1 tbsp Tahini Sauce
1 tbsp powdered garlic
1 - 2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp water
Methods:
1) Boiled the garbanzo beans with salt until it's soft. You can use the canned ones too but you need to drained the water from the canned.
2) Then drained and rinse the garbanzo beans and put it into the food processor.
3) Roast the bell pepper. Once roasted, throw away the seeds and carefully peel the charred bell pepper skin. Then sliced
4) Add the bell pepper into the food processor. Processed both the garbanzo beand and the bell pepper until they are smooth.
5) Add the lemon juice, salt to taste, paprika, pepper, garlic, and water.
6) Blended them smooth.. and taste it. If it's not saltish enough put more salt.
Finally, it's ready , and you can eat it with crackers or salad or by itself.. :)
